PSHE
Personal, Social and Health education
The school uses the ‘Jigsaw’ programme to support a mindful approach to PSHE. 'Jigsaw' is a unique, spiral and progressive approach. It aims to prepare children for life; helping them really know and value who they are and understand how they relate to other people in an ever-changing world. PSHE is taught explicitly once a week with time built into the lesson for mindfulness and a reflection of learning.
With strong emphasis on emotional literacy, building resilience and nurturing mental and physical health, we deliver engaging and relevant PSHE within a whole-school approach. The curriculum also include mindfulness, allowing children to advance their emotional awareness, concentration and focus; bringing a sense of inner peace.
The whole school follow the same thread of learning each half term, which is adapted for each year group.
