St Ann's CE Primary

PE and Sport

Physical Education is crucial in developing pupils’ physical competence and confidence. It promotes physical skilfulness, physical development and knowledge of the body in action. Physical Education provides opportunities for children to be creative, competitive and face up to different challenges as individuals and in groups and teams. Furthermore, successful teaching will equip children with the awareness of how to lead an active lifestyle.

We at St Ann’s CE Primary School strive to maintain an activity based program while teaching lifelong fitness in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Our children are encouraged to participate in competitive sport and our school competes in sports competitions including football, athletics and cross-country.

Children have swimming lessons in Years 3, 4 & 5 . After school activities include Multi-Sports, Football, and Dance. These extra-curricular activities were identified through consultation with pupils.
